Nivea Men Post Shave Balm As A Primer?!

I've mentioned many times on here about my love for primers and for me I find them an essential when applying my make up if I want my make up to last all day.

I love testing out different primers to find the perfect one to keep my make up on. I am a huge fan of Nikkie Tutorials and she regularly uses the Nivea Men Post Shave Balm as a primer in her videos. Curiosity got the better of me and I tried it (and have used to everyday ever since) and so has everyone else who I've passed on the tip too.

Long story short, the Niva Post Shave Balm contains an ingredient called Glycerin which is quite tacky so anything that goes over the top of it will stick. So in this case that is your make up meaning your make up will stick to the post shave balm which is acting as a primer keeping your make up on all day.

Obviously the Nivea Post Shave Balm helps give the skin moisture after shaving so I find this also keeps my skin moisturised and feeling really soft and I've also noticed it's even helped clear my skin up since I've started using it.

A lot of people do ask when I mention this is my primer about the smell, when you apply it does have that manly scent but that quickly fades away and you can't smell it through out the day.

I find a key thing when using this is rather then just rubbing it on for a few seconds and then applying your make up, keep rubbing it in until you can feel the balm go tacky on your face and then apply the make up. I've noticed when doing this it holds the make up on my face that little bit longer.

I've told a lot of people about this and each person I've told has told me it's worked for them whether it's kept their make up and even kept them from being shiny throughout the day.

For the price it's definitely worth trying out, the bottle is huge and you only need a little bit so it'll last a long long time, a lot longer than any normal primer would do!
