theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer Luminiser // Review

Highlights are one of my favourite make up products, no matter how your skin is looking once you apply a bit of highlighter it just boosts the look of your skins radiance, makes you look glowing and healthy.

One of the highlighters which always popped up on blogs or youtube videos was theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer and although my make up collection is pretty big I definitely lacked in variety when it came to highlighters so I thought i'd give in and try it out.

I love the packaging of theBalm products they have a very vintage 60's vibe about them, very much like benefit cosmetics. I think it's different and cool and just gives their products something extra then your usual boring plain black packaging which most cosmetic companies tend to go for.

One of the best things about the packaging however is the large mirror that comes in the compact, it's always handy when a make up product comes with a mirror especially for when you're out and on the go and want to quickly touch up.

The texture of this highlight is perfect, there's no chunky bits of glitter like MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Soft & Gentle sometimes has, its very smooth and soft so it applies so easily and blends amazingly.

The colour is a champagne shade but definitely more on the yellow/golden tone then it is pink which I like as it actually looks more natural because it doesn't add any additional unwanted colour to the skin.

The pigmentation on this is like no other, it is so pigmented that you need just a light hand to apply it otherwise it is easy to go a little overboard and look more sweaty then glowy but when applied with the right amount of product it is stunning. It isn't a subtle highlight it is definitely more intense then others I have tried but nevertheless it's my favourite because who doesn't love that glow!!!

It's the perfect highlighter and perfect to use for the new 'strobing' trend which is making it's way in.
