The Best Of 2014 // Favourites

Now that we're into 2015, it's time to look back and reflect on 2014 or in the eyes on make up addicts it's time to look back and reflect on our favourite products which became our saviours over the past year and we reached for whenever possible and more often than others.

I love these kind of posts because it shows if a product is actually good if it's been your favourite for a whole year because it easy to like something for a few weeks and then completely go off it which is a reason I don't to monthly favourites because I switch my make up so often I don't connect to something for a month long.

However there have been a select few products which I have found during 2014 and completely fallen in love with. All these products I've used almost every day or as much as I could and have become obsessed with.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish - I went through a stage at the beginning of 2014 where I didn't use this cleanser for a few months because I ran out of it and I noticed a huge difference in my skin from not using it. My skin didn't feel as soft, it lacked radiance and I would end up breaking out more often but then when I used this again it completely fixed up my skin it felt so smooth, it looked a lot more fresh and healthy and don't break out as much when I use this. This is my third bottle of this product and it's definitely worth the money.

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré - I picked this moisturiser up when I was in IMATS this year after hearing a lot of hype about it. It's very light weight which makes it perfect for use before make up to help the make up apply smoothly and it's not too thick that the make up instantly slips off the face. It keeps my skin really hydrated and it's perfect for everyday use.

Nuxe Rêve de Miel Night Cream - I had never used a night cream before this so I never really understood the difference between a night cream and a regular day cream. Compared to a day cream this is a lot thicker and richer which means it does take longer to sink into the skin which is why it's best applied at night time. When you wake up your skin just looks and feels so beautiful, I love this product and you can see my review on it here.

Origins Super Spot Remover - Behold my little secret weapon. Everyone hates getting spots but this little beauty works like a dream. As soon as I can feel or a spot appears I just dot on some of this and within a day or two it's gone. It's a miracle worker and I actually need to pick up another bottle because it's nearly gone. Review.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer - Make up never lasts on my face without a primer and I'm constantly trying out different primers and the only one that seems to work on me is MAC prep + prime or this. I do think this is my favourite because I feel it's more hydrating. It keeps my make up on all day long and gives a nice base for my make up to be applied too.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid - I talk about this foundation so much, whenever someone asks me for a foundation recommendation I pretty much scream the name of this in their face. This is now my third bottle and I am pretty much obsessed. The coverage is a buildable medium-full, I just find this really works with my skin type (combination) and makes my skin look flawless.

Laura Mercier Secret Concealer - Like the primer and foundation, this is a product I always go back too and this is my second tub. This concealer is amazing for both under the eyes and on blemishes, it is a medium-full coverage so covers anything you need to cover. It's bloody brilliant.

Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot - Due to me having combination skin I need to powder my T-zone which is the oily area. I used to use the Rimmel Stay Matte but I wanted to try something new and I decided to try this and honestly I'll never look back, you hardly need to use any and it completely takes any shine away without making your skin look cakey or chalky.

MAC Harmony Blush - Although this is a blusher I actually use this to contour, I find it the perfect shade for my skintone as it isn't too orange which some bronzers can be. On my skintone it adds a natural shadow colour, I also use this a lot in college and find it works beautifully on a lot of light-medium skintones too.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush - This is my go too blusher, the formula of these is amazing as they are pigmented but not too pigmented that it makes you look like a clown. I love the fact the compact has a mirror so it's perfect for on the go and I'm desperate to get my hands on more of these.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Soft & Gentle - My favourite highlighter hands down is this. I bought this back in 2012 and it's still going strong infact it's only just hit pan and I use this every day. It's the perfect highlight as it's not too glittery but it's got enough shimmer to add a subtle glow. I just adore it.

MAC Warm Neutral and Cool Neutrals Palette - Let me introduce to you to my babies, I bought these back in November and they're my all time favourite eyeshadow and I've reached for these everyday since I've bought them. I will have a review of each up shortly but for the time being they're just amazing!!

MAC Paint Pot (Bare Study) - This is my favourite eye primer as it's a light cream shade with a golden shimmer, it really helps to brighten the lid and keep the eye make up on all day. It also looks very pretty on it's own if you're in a rush and need something quick on the lid.

MAC Pigment Blue Brown - I used to despise pigments, the idea of having to deal with a loose eyeshadow just horrified me but when I saw this shade I couldn't resist and I decided to try it. It's the most beautiful colour and when I can't decide what look I want on my eyes I just go for this. If applied with a wet brush it's not as messy as I thought and I've definitely found a new love. Review.

Benefit Gimme Brow - This little beauty is a god sent for my eyebrows as I have to heavily draw mine on due to me practically having none existent eyebrows but I found the powder would always fade during the day and not stay on which is where I decided to buy this. It keeps my brows in place all day and also helps to set the powder keeping them looking perfect.

HD Brows Brow Kit - I don't have a picture of this since I foolishly left it at college but in 2014 this was my go to product for filling in my brows. I find powders a lot more natural looking and this was perfect as it had 4 shades and a wax in it.

Eyes #2
Maybelline The Collossal Volume Express Mascara - I was obsessed with this mascara when it first came out but for some reason I just forgot about it. During 2014 I repurchased this and remembered why I love it so much, it adds a lot of length and volume to the lashes making them look amazing!

Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara - I only discovered this around November time but it's quickly become a favourite, it adds so much length and seperates my lashes giving that doll eyed effect - I love it.

L'Oreal Super Liner - I love eyeliner and I switch between gel and liquid depending on how I feel, when I use liquid I go for this as it's really easy to apply and dries very quickly.

Maybelline Gel Eyeliner - This is my favourite gel eyeliner and I do use this more than liquid as it can be used in the waterline and when I use it it stays all day without budging.

MAC Cremecup and Shanghai Spice - My two favourite lipsticks worn seperately or on their own. Cremecup is a more pink based nude whereas Shanghai Spice is a more brown toned nude but they've been my go to lipsticks for about 3 or 4 months now. There's so complimenting on the lips and the perfect everyday colour.

Nuxe Rêve de Miel Lip Balm - This is probably one of the most talk about lip balms and it's definitely worth it's hype. It's the best lip balm I've ever tried and when I use this it makes my lips so soft and hydrates any dryness, it's fab!

That's it for my 2014 faves, let's hope 2015 brings some new amazing products. What are your favourite products of 2014?
